Happy Easter!

Christ is risen!  He is risen indeed!
Happy Easter to you and yours!
Mine didn't really want to take pictures, except Leila.
Stella consented to sitting in the chair, barely.
Leila was up for as many as I would take.

Henry wanted nothing to do with it.
At nana and papa's he took a doll for a ride in a stroller while the eggs were being hidden on the lawn.
 Rich, Lindsey, Norah, and Greta
Jeremy, Abby, Leila, Stella, and Henry
Kari, Ryan, Reid, Paige, and Zoe
Nana with most of the grandkids.

Adventures in Bowling

We are high rollers.  We rented the entire Northland Lanes bowling alley for Bill's 40th birthday.
Happy birthday Bill!  Actually, we were the only ones there, we didn't actually rent the place,
They just aren't very busy on Friday nights. Apparently.
We did not mind this detail.
It actually made it that much more enjoyable for us.
The guys each played two games and the girls played each played one.
We had more fun talking to each other :)
The guy did let us run a candy tab...so we were sort of high rollers.
Even if I did not break 100.
I am not too worried about my dismal score seeing as I have not been bowling since I was pregnant with Leila.
Here is the best shot of Dan and Misti.
And a good one of Dan photo bombing us.
And a good one of Jer and I.  It was nice to hang out with friends away from the kids for a night!

Older and Wiser?

This morning I was helping Leila get ready and put some barrettes in her hair.  She said, "Mom, they're not in their perfect places, let me do it."  I am happy that she is being more independent and brushing her own hair and teeth, she is getting so grown up!

Although the logic isn't always there.  The other night she and Stella made a nest of pillows in the living room and yelled to me in the bathroom where I was finishing up Henry's bath.
L: Mom, come see - Leila is sleeping!
S: So is Stella!
Me: I will be there in a minute.
(when I get there, Stella is standing up, forgetting that she is supposed to pretend to be asleep, so she quickly lays down and closes her eyes)
L: Leila already fell asleep, she is too tired to clean up.
S: We should sleep here tonight.

Here is Henry playing with the hair dryer.  Soon after this picture was taken, it was close to going into the toilet, along with a lot of other things that have made narrow escapes lately.  I have to watch this boy closely!
