Paw Paw Park

We decided to go for a Sunday hike yesterday and wanted to try somewhere new.  We checked out Paw Paw Park - the old country club golf course.  This bridge was pretty rickety!  We did see a couple of herons.

The second bridge had been reinforced, and was much sturdier!

Keeping Up To Date

I thought that I had gotten the blog up to date, then I took some pictures on the good camera and found a bunch that I hadn't bothered to put on the computer.
It is nice to see that we had good weather in the not too distant past.

We also got something delivered in a large box that the kids needed to make into a train or something.

Henry started threeschool and was very proud!

We recently had a couple of cousins over for a play date and lunch time was like old times when I watched all of these kids at once (plus more! :)
The first Christmas ad came and the kids immediately each claimed a different color pen and circled items to their hearts' content.  After they were finished, I asked Leila if they had left anything uncircled, and she said at least 4 or 5 things.
Henry is my helper - he helped me make brownies (I got to lick that spatula)
and then we made some cocoa rice crispie treats for him.
The girls finished up their soccer seasons yesterday.  It was fun, but I am ready to have less on the calendar :)

We had Jer's family over for the Michigan Michigan State football game yesterday.
There were varying levels of interest and allegiance.  Michigan pulled out a win, but not by nearly the margin that was expected.

Zehnder's Splash Village

The girls had a couple of school days off this past week so we decided to take a trip to Zehnder's in Frankenmuth.

We didn't eat one of their famous chicken dinners, but we did have a lot of fun in the water park.

You get a face full of water if you stand over one spout and block another.  This lesson brought to you by Henry.

These two had a ton of fun with the paddle boards.  Stacking, splashing, swimming, repeat.

The lazy river was a ton of fun.

McDonald's - breakfast of champions.  And play place is an added bonus.

After breakfast, we walked across the bridge and around downtown Frankenmuth.

We even managed to get a nice family picture!
Then back to the water park!

After two days playing hard, the kids were subdued or sleeping on the ride home.
