I HAD A BABY!

It still has not sunk in...maybe it is the lack of sleep! Leila Grace was 7lb 13oz and 22" long. She is such a joy! We are starting to get into a routine (she is teaching me when we do what). I hope to post more soon, but need to get back to her now.

Memorial Day

We went out for the traditional breakfast with Aunt Sue and the family before the parade.
Here is our nephew Luke marching next to the director:

And our nephew Shane also on the end, with a silver trumpet:
And here they are after the parade with Rod:

A fun holiday morning!

White Caps Game

To celebrate my dad's birthday, we have started a tradition of taking the family to a White Caps Game. Happy 58th birthday dad! Apparently the Tony Stewart fan behind us wanted to join in on the fun...
Reid did quite well and made it through the 8th inning.
And despite worries, no baby came while we were at the game.

Fifth Third Riverbank 25k

Jeremy's running group from Gazelle took a pre-race photo:
He had great supporters come to root him on (below Dan and Bill):
This is the start of the 25k race, right when it started to rain:
We saw each other with just enough time for Jer to high five Dan - apparently that was the first of many high fives Jer gave out as he ran the course.
Here we are waiting near the end of the course for Jer to come back around after we went out for breakfast (Bill, Dan, Misti, and Isaac):
Here he comes!
There he goes!
Jer finished his first 25k with the time of 2:17:52!!
I am so proud of him! He even got a sweet medal for finishing.
He was glad to be done! :)

All in all it was a great day in spite of the weather.

Dutch Dancing

Last night we went downtown to meet friends and watch Bill dutch dance.Dan, Misti, Josiah & Isaac met us for junk food too.
The first time I did this post, I forgot to recount the conversation I had with Josiah before the dancing. He wanted to sit on my lap, but there isn't really one left anymore and so we had the following conversation:
J: You have a fat tummy
A: I know. Do you know why?
J: Yes, there is a girl in there...and a dog.
I am not sure where he got the part about the dog, but I sure hope not :)
When did I get so big?!? It must have been the elephant ear I just ate...or a dog or something....
Andy & Sarah brought Ellery down to check out the festivities.

It was fun to watch.

Tulip Time Fireworks

Last night we went downtown and watched Bill's first Dutch Dance. Then we went to Kollen Park to meet up with him and Misti & the boys to watch the fireworks.
It was cold, but we had fun! :)

There was a picture of me too, but my 8 month belly was hanging out of my coat that I could hardly zip up, so we will just leave that to the imagination.
