Michigan's Adventure and Hungry Horse

We went to Michigan's Adventure with E&V.
The weather switched back and forth between sunny and cloudy all day.
Henry wasn't quite tall enough for a lot of the spinning rides to ride alone so I got to go on all of them since Jeremy doesn't do well with spinning.

Henry was sad to be too short for most of the rides, but the girls were game for the roller coasters!
Jeremy and Leila on the corkscrew.
This was a really fun ride, Henry especially enjoyed steering us up and down.

Jeremy broke the rules and took a picture of Henry and himself on the log ride!
Toward the end of the day we left Jer on a bench after a ride on the Thunderhawk left him out of commission and got a giant snocone for Stella.

The next day Henry should have taken a nap because he was tired but he insisted he wasn't until he fell asleep eating his fruit by the foot.
Chef Leila's new snack idea.
Summer time has the kids spending much more time together, which can sometimes result in notes like this one.
We got to celebrate our niece Lindsey's pregnancy with a baby shower.
The girls especially enjoyed staying out late and all of the party food!

Time with their aunts and cousins was an added bonus.
It had been SUPER HOT the past few days and the kids and I got invited over to Myah's pool to swim.

More pool time with Lindsey and her girls at Macatawa Legends!

 Holiday breakfast with the fam.
Camping at Hungry Horse with Dan & Misti
Henry is sleeping under there somewhere.

The kids really made strides in their swimming this week - Leila can swim independently in the deep end and Stella can do somersaults and dive under the water!  Henry can go without swimmies for short periods of time with supervision and can go under with a mask on.

Relaxing outside is one of the best parts of camping!

 Dirty feet!

 S'mores!

This is Jer's intense look.  I am pretty sure I just said something he didn't like :)
Maybe it was because I pointed out this vein.
We brought a TMNT along with us!

Water balloons are always a hit!!
Henry and Isaac made multiple trips into the woods to gather sticks for kindling and helped to break them down into manageable pieces.

The campground had multiple movie nights for the kids.

Can you tell how much he is enjoying this sparkler?

Dan and Jer took the little kids on the wagon ride.
We were all packed up and took one last swim in the pool, now headed home and modeling mom's hat.

I don't think Henry wanted to leave the pool behind.

Kid Quotes:

Talking about a World Cup game...
Henry: A guy got so hurt that he needed a crutcher!
Jeremy: You mean a stretcher?

Stella: Mom, did you know that the air we breathe is tree farts? But they’re not dirty farts.

Stella: I have a secret for just mom to hear.
(Henry covers his ears)
Stella to Henry: Can you hear me?
Henry: No.

Henry: When fish die they float for a really long time then they come back to life.
Me: What?
Henry: After they float a long time they come back as babies.

Stella: What did people do when they didn’t invent food yet?

Questions Stella recently asked google:

How much do two carrots weigh?
What is 10,000 - 2?
What is 100 x 600 - 200?
Who is the most ticklish person in the world?
Who is the rashiest person in the world?
How much does a hippo drink in a day?

The other day I checked out at Meijer with all three kids. Stella and Henry were fighting about who got to scan the marshmallows. Leila squirted approximately 1/4 cup of dish soap all over my back and the rest of the groceries.  I had two kleenex in my purse to clean us up.  As we were walking out, they asked if they could ride the pony.  I said no.
