This was not part of the original remodel plans, but while we were on vacation over Christmas, the washing machine decided to drip drip drip itself full and then overflow. Thankfully there is a drain in the laundry room that kept the damage to a minimum, but the carpet and paneling had to be replaced.

Public service announcement: do not hire Harald Kronemeyer to do any construction project you may have. He was careless, messy, and did an unprofessional job. I had to go back over everything he did and caulk the crap out of it to make it look presentable. See above where he put two wrong sides together on the paneling? And the seams and nail holes were not fixed when he was finished.
