Henry's tower - he was trying to make it taller than himself.
We celebrated Stella's 7th birthday! She chose Burger King.

The girls decided to make rainbow frosted cupcakes for their birthday dessert.
We rolled up these colored frosting logs and used frosting tips to make cool designs on the cupcakes.
Henry helped Jeremy spread 9 yards of bark. He wasn't as into it this year and didn't help as much, but still made a dent in the pile.
Leila chose Red Robin for her birthday dinner.

We got crowns for the kids but Leila was too big to wear one, so I did instead.
After lunch we went to the library and the kids had a blast making large ice cream cones.

Last step of the basement remodel - carpet on the stairs! The poor installer had an audience.
I am so happy to have an actual floor downstairs again after almost 6 months!!
Date night! Jer and I enjoyed relaxing by the channel.
We went to a Whitecaps game - the kids were definitely more interested in the bounce houses than the game.
And eating.

They also liked running the bases.
The kids occasionally *ahem* fight - especially now that they are around each other more with school being out. I make them go to separate rooms when they have been in each other's business too much and there are tears. This is what happens - they still can't leave each other alone and camp out just outside the rooms.
I popped up the camper to prep it for our first trip and the kids couldn't wait to help - and to hang out inside!
Meijer trip meant that everyone needed to ride the pony!

On the way to Cran Hill to camp for the weekend, we had lunch at Burger King - the kids had to compare fry lengths to see who got the longest.
Henry takes after his dad with his picture taking abilities - I asked him to take one of me and my sisters. :)
These are Stella's innocent eyes - she was trying to convince me that she had worn Henry's flip flops to the bathroom when I pointed out that hers hadn't moved. There was a lot of blinking, not a lot of believing.
Leila enjoyed staying up later than her siblings.

The game room had air conditioning and the kids had fun playing in here during a rain storm and when it was too hot to be outside.
They also enjoyed playing on the sand dune.
Leila and Stella signed up for climbing the rock wall. Leila was a natural and climbed the easy side twice, the medium side once, and almost made it to the top of the hard side.
Stella struggled a little bit more but did not give up!
Frog and turtle races were a lot of fun!
Leila was not interested in touching the animals but had fun watching!
The last night Henry clotheslined himself on the edge of the camper and got quite a bump on his forehead.
The kids fell asleep on the way home...
or at least pretended to.
It was father's day, so we got back and gave Jeremy the cards and gifts that the kids had made for him.
It was cloudy and cool yesterday - the perfect weather for Dutch Village. Lindsey and I met there and the kids had a ton of fun.
We were the first ones on the ferris wheel.
