Happy Easter!
By Sunday morning Leila had the Easter egg hunt concept down pat. After hunting eggs with her cousins the previous Sunday and again at a Church egg hunt the previous day, in her words:
"Neaster eggs - candy in there."
With no competition she found every egg in the living room. She did think that Molly might try to snag one or two, so she told her no occasionally for good measure.
She enjoyed opening the eggs to see what was inside. We went with coins, candy, and a few toys she already owns just to keep it interesting. She quickly shoved any candy into her mouth and enjoyed putting the coins in her piggy bank.
She also found baby sister's bunny and decided "I need it."
We managed to get an all smiling family picture!
As well as one with Nana & Papa
And Grandma & Grandpa.
Grandma had eggs for Leila to open too - some with money, some with candy...she got so excited at one point she stuffed a dime in her mouth - I think she was sure it was going to be a candy egg and wanted to make sure we weren't going to make her wait to eat it. Happy Easter everyone! And don't forget - it isn't actually about Easter egg hunts at all - Christ is risen! We are saved and eternally grateful.
