Cottage Vacation - part 1

Here we are arriving and everyone else has already started to enjoy the beach!

Leila and Paige held hands every time they climbed the sand back up to the cottage.

Lindsey was in charge of the kitchen and assigned tasks to the rest of us to help her make all of the wonderful dinners.

Norah liked the necklaces we brought to play with.

Every night to get the sand off from them, we bathed the kids in a storage tote because there wasn't a tub.

Everyday we relaxed on the beach!

Supper was always out on the deck - not enough room inside for everyone to sit!

Here is the outside of the cottage, the deck was handy for drying towels.

A view from above down toward the beach.

Fire night and Reid ate a s'more with a jumbo marshmallow

Nana managed not to get quite as sticky.

One day we went to Lewis' Farm Market to see and feed all of the animals.  The goats really liked us!

Summer Fun!

The girls absolutely love to read!  We empty this book bin at least once a day.  The water table is also always a winner of an activity.

Here Leila is trying to get Stella to lay by her and take a nap in the bed that she made for them.

Stella always tells me she is done eating and then scavenges food off from Norah's tray.

There is something about hanging out in these bins that my girls really find entertaining.  It is probably the emptying part.

Bath time is usually filled with laughter and at least some splashing.

A while back we went to a Breakfast on the Farm event put on by MSU - the girls had a ton of fun!  Leila and Ellery got to milk a "cow"

This was a sample of what cows eat, the girls liked the soybeans the best.

Stella was not in the mood to stand still for pictures, but they almost turned out cuter this way.

July Fun

July 4 we went swimming with my family in my parents' neighbor's pool.

It was a lot of fun to get all of the kids into the pool.

Leila even went swimming in the deep end with help!

We also recently celebrated mom's 60th birthday.
