Fall Update

My, how time flies!  It is getting away from me, I am way behind on this blog.
My friend Emily was in town from Texas and we were able to get together for breakfast and catch up.  It was great to see her again.
The summer daycare had a Teusinks Farm night.  It was a bit rainy, but we had fun anyway.

They even had a covered horse drawn carriage ride.

Umbrellas scared the horses, so we had to stay back with those...

We ended the summer with a ride on the boat with Ken and Sue.

Jer took Henry golfing while I took the girls bowling.

Then it was time to go back to school! Henry in kindergarten full time this year.
 Leila in 4th grade.
 Stella in 2nd grade.
Last hurrah before school - supper at the airport viewing area.

We made play doh for the children's worship room at church - the kids approved.
A day playing in Papa's pond.

We got out the paddle boat!

The kids wanted to fish after that and with just pieces of bread and nets, I caught this big guy.

Henry was persistent and caught one of his own after at least half an hour of trying.

 Papa and his sprinkles...
Papa made them an awesome fort and let me go to Target without them :)
 First day of school!

We went to the Breakfast on the Farm day at a dairy farm in Paw Paw.

It was interesting to see all of the workings of the farm.

The kids liked the tractor rides and free stuff the best.

Aunt Lindsey pulled Stella's second tooth!  Aunt Kari is not happy about this. :)

The tooth fairy missed her the first night, so Stella wrote her a note: I really lost a tooth. Please give me something.
Jeremy: Should we go to the street performers tomorrow?
Henry: Will there be sword swallowers??
We went downtown for the last Street Performers of the year.

 Stelly belly danced!

Stella and Henry became part of this clown's act.

Henry randomly killed this fly by grabbing it out of the air.  Then he proudly showed it to me.
Leila made a new friend at school who happens to live in our neighborhood.  Now our house gets crowded with all of the friends they get to play with. Dani & Eleanor, Abby & Tyler.
I taught Leila how to play cat's cradle.  We have been having fun with it - even playing at soccer games!

 GEMS night activity.

Shopping weekend!  We were ready to shop before the outlet mall opened so we went to McDonald's and played cards.

We bought a ton as usual.
Someone in Henry's class brought rock candy for the birthday treat - he was excited to be able to have some!

Stella's first GEMS night - the fishing outing.

They had more fun on the barrel rides, and it was a bit cold, but it was a ton of fun!

Stella's soccer games are fun to watch.  Our neighbor Abby is on her team and they have a ton of fun playing together.

Jer was gone for his Ragnar run so Leila made a to do list for our Saturday.
Best Faith Scenario - Jer's Ragnar team 2018.
While he was gone we went to the library's craft day.
More arts & crafts with Dani and Eleanor.
Stella's final soccer practice was a scrimmage between the team and the parents.  It was a tie at the end and Stella was the designated kicker for the shootout - she scored the game winning goal!
Dani, Julia, Leila - after school play date.
Fire truck parade downtown - it misted the whole time, but we didn't get too wet or cold.

There was lots of time to take selfies while we waited for the parade to start.

The girls and I got out the Halloween decorations and found these M&M lights in the box.  I bought them in high school.  Stella wanted to know why there weren't any blue M&Ms - I bought them before there were blue M&Ms!
Then we found the Mr Potatohead parts for our pumpkins and the girls had fun pretending.

Leila with her ears pierced! :)
Another fun craft time at Papa's

 Matching outfits!
Jer and Henry helped Rod get Luke's old bed out to the street and had to pose in the picture to send to Luke.
